What we mediate
Every part of a family law dispute
Most families come in with several issues tied together. Mediation lets you deal with all of them in one process, at your pace.
Parenting plans
Decision-making responsibility, parenting time, holidays, school, travel and how you will communicate as parents.
Child and spousal support
Table support, special expenses, spousal support ranges, and how and when support will be reviewed.
Property and the home
Equalization of net family property, the matrimonial home, pensions, debts and who keeps what.
Your mediator
Frank Alfano, LL.B., LL.M.
Frank spent 33 years as an Ontario paralegal, much of it in courtrooms. He saw what a contested hearing costs a family in money, time and goodwill, and how often both sides leave unhappy with a result a stranger chose for them.
He trained in mediation at Lightstone Academy and now works with families to settle outside court. He holds an LL.B. from the University of London and an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
